Many satisfied customers have come to appreciate the modular aspect of the Porta-Jib line, and the way a common item like a jib arm or dolly becomes more useful because of well thought out accessories. Our Adjustable Columns eliminate the fixed height problem inherent in many column designs, interface with 100mm, 150mm, or Mitchell based fluid heads or Jib arms. Our Low Shot Kit offers low angle camera positions, below the low point of the column, and also acts as extenders for the upper reach of the DV Column. Even though our Jibs work with traditional tripods on the market we offer our own Light Weight Tripod for two reasons: price and stability. The Traveller Jib works with any tripod with a 100mm top, but often these tripods are a little too lightweight for the weight of a jib arm. Our Light Weight Tripod provides the stability often missing in these other tripods. Even though our Standard Jib works with heavy duty tripods with either Mitchell or 150mm tops, if one does not own this style of tripod, it can be an expensive purchase. Our Light Weight Tripod sells for a fraction of the cost of a traditional heavy duty tripod with a Mitchell or 150mm top. And, of course, our tripod also interfaces with our 3-Leg Spider Dolly. Our scissor arm can take the arc out of boom motion and add the convenience of placing the tripod's panbar in more accessible positions. Well made accessories can make a jib or dolly more than just a jib or dolly, they become part of an efficient system. |
